• Anonymous Authentication: We use Firebase Anonymous Authentication to let you access the app without revealing your identity.
• Device Information: We may collect limited device data (model, OS version, IP address) to ensure security, prevent abuse, and detect spam.
• Usage Data: Aggregated analytics such as app interactions, crash reports, and performance metrics via Firebase Analytics (without identifying you).

2. User Content

Confessions and posts you create are stored securely in Firebase Firestore. These are not linked to your personal identity. However, we may moderate or remove content that violates community guidelines (e.g., threats, hate speech, explicit or illegal content).

3. How We Use Your Data

• To operate and improve the app experience.
• To apply filters and moderation for harmful or abusive content.
• To serve ads through Google AdMob (which may use device identifiers for personalized ads).
• To detect, prevent, and address spam or security issues.

4. Third-Party Services

We rely on trusted third-party services:

• Firebase: Authentication, Firestore database, Analytics, Cloud Functions.
• Google AdMob: Ads delivery and performance tracking.
• Crashlytics: Error and crash reporting to improve stability.

These services may collect anonymized device and usage information in accordance with their own privacy policies.

5. Data Retention

Posts and confessions remain in our database unless removed by you or flagged for violation of policies. We retain minimal technical data for app functionality and legal compliance.

• You can request deletion of your data by contacting us.
• You have the right to know how your information is used and stored.
• EU and UK users have rights under GDPR, including access, correction, and erasure of personal data.
• California users have rights under CCPA regarding data disclosure and deletion.

7. Security

We implement technical and organizational measures to protect data from unauthorized access, misuse, or disclosure. However, no system can be completely secure. By using the app, you acknowledge this risk.

8. Children's Privacy

HushHub is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we discover such data, it will be deleted immediately.
